Dr. Jennifer Alderman was born in Bradenton, Florida. She moved to Gainesville to attend the University of Florida for college. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Florida. Next, she went to the University of Florida for medical school. She had the distinction of being accepted into Alpha Omega Alpha honor society in her third year of medical school. She completed her residency at the University of Florida in Obstetrics and Gynecology. During residency, she published several scientific papers related to abnormal Pap smears, infertility and gynecologic surgery.
After completing residency, where she was selected Resident of the Year, she joined Dr. McLean and Dr. Ross in private practice. Dr. Ross and Dr. Alderman practice obstetrics together until 2005. She enjoys the lifelong continuity of patient care that is involved in women's healthcare. She is also interested in robotic surgery and pelvic relaxation surgery.
She was married in 2005. Her husband is a realtor in Gainesville. They have two children that keep them busy. They enjoy swimming and being outside together.
